The Acorn reports "The Hesed Wellness Center, which officially opened Sept. 19 in the Oak Park Shopping Center, features equipment such as TurboSonic vibration therapy trainers, a far infrared sauna, a body composition analyzer and a ROM (range of motion) universal-type exercise machine. Natural vitamins, minerals, hormones and energy boosters are offered for nutritional balancing. The concept is a holistic approach to health, according to Chris and Suzanne Kim, the Thousand Oaks husband and wife who run the facility. On a recent morning the Kims were at the center overseeing several clients using the futuristiclooking equipment. One of them, Oak Park resident Paige Apar, said she used to dread going to the gym because of the "threshold of pain and exertion." After coming to Hesed three to four times a week for the past two weeks, Apar has lost a pound of fat and noticed an improvement in her skin." Hours: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. | ||
